Olympic silver medallist Mirabai Chanu proved her class once again by winning gold at the Commonwealth Championships 2025 in Ahmedabad. Returning after a year away due to injury, she lifted a total of 193 kg (84 kg in snatch and 109 kg in clean and jerk), setting new Championship records. Even with a few missed attempts, Chanu stayed well ahead of her rivals and delighted fans with her performance on Indian soil.

Lifts Record-Breaking 193 Kg

Mirabai Chanu overcame an early miss in the snatch to complete strong lifts. She cleared 84 kg and later 109 kg in clean and jerk, securing the gold medal. The victory at the Mirabai Chanu Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships highlighted her successful comeback and renewed focus for upcoming challenges.
