Ashwin Kumar’s ‘Mahavatar Narsimha’ has stormed the Indian box office, raking in Rs 91.25 crore in just 10 days. The animated mythology drama, based on the legend of Prahlad and Lord Vishnu’s Narsimha Avatar, has resonated deeply with audiences. Released in five languages and across 2D and 3D formats, it’s now India’s highest-grossing animated film ever, beating even ‘Spider-Man’ and ‘Kung Fu Panda’ in domestic numbers.

Massive Response for Telugu 3D Versions

The Telugu 3D version has seen exceptional success, with nearly 80% occupancy, which is rare for animation. The Hindi 3D version also pulled strong numbers, with over 68%. With a global gross of Rs 112 crore, ‘Mahavatar Narsimha’ signals a new era for Indian animation rooted in myth and culture.
