Virat Kohli’s Brother Criticises Current Test Players Form, Hints at Someone ‘Bossing Around’ Team Decisions

Virat Kohli’s brother, Vikas, has sparked debate with sharp criticism of the current Indian men’s Test team. In a post on Threads, he recalled when India played to win overseas and suggested the current side now focuses on “saving matches even at home.” He also hinted that someone is “bossing around and changing things that were never broken,” a remark widely seen as a swipe at head coach Gautam Gambhir.

Virat Kohli’s Brother Criticises

Vikas’s comments come amid India’s ongoing struggles in the home Test series against South Africa. India lost the first Test in Kolkata by 30 runs, and their troubles deepened in the second Test in Guwahati. After gaining a 288-run first-innings lead, South Africa declared at 260/5 and dismissed two Indian batters before stumps, leaving India needing 522 runs on the final day. Even a draw would still hand South Africa a 1–0 series win.

A whitewash would be historic for the wrong reasons, making Gambhir the only India coach to suffer two home clean sweeps. His record of two home series losses in four and seven wins from 18 Tests remains under scrutiny due to inconsistent selections and frequent tactical changes.
