‘Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh’, starring Akshay Kumar, R. Madhavan, and Ananya Panday, had a modest start at the box office. On Friday- Day 1, the film earned Rs 7.75 crore. On Saturday- Day 2, the film saw a slight boost, collecting Rs 9.50 crore, bringing its two-day total to Rs 17.25 crore in India.
State-wise Occupancy
Given the tough run many recent films have faced at the box office, ‘Kesari 2’ has had a relatively decent start. On Saturday, it recorded an overall occupancy of 25.78% across 3,723 shows nationwide.
Chennai led with 56% occupancy from 45 shows, followed by Bengaluru with 43.25% across 246 shows. Hyderabadsaw 37.75% from 147 shows.
In Mumbai, the film recorded 22.50% occupancy across 749 shows, while Delhi-NCR saw 29.25% across 899 shows. The coming days will determine the film’s long-term box office run.
