Karisma Kapoor’s children, Samaira and Kiaan, have taken legal action in the Delhi High Court, alleging that their late father Sunjay Kapur’s will has been forged. During Monday’s hearing, their lawyer, Senior Advocate Mahesh Jethmalani, strongly argued that the document is riddled with serious errors, suggesting it was not authored by Sunjay.
He highlighted glaring mistakes, such as the misspelling of Kiaan’s name and the incorrect address of Samaira. Sunjay would never have gotten these details wrong, given his close bond with his children.

Jethmalani further stated that the will appears “casual and careless,” lacking specifics about important assets, including jewellery and cryptocurrency. He argued that such omissions and blunders demean Sunjay’s memory and clearly indicate fabrication. According to him, the beneficiary of the will may have orchestrated it to exclude Karisma’s children entirely.
Sunjay Kapur, who passed away in June during a polo match in London, left behind significant assets. The case continues, with the court allowing Priya Sachdev, Sunjay’s widow, to submit asset details in a sealed cover. The next hearing is set for Tuesday.
