The OTT release is expected to begin on 30 October 2025, streaming in multiple languages, including Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi. Regional versions may go live first, with the Hindi dubbed edition likely following after eight weeks. Produced by Hombale Films, the movie stars Rishab Shetty, Jayaram, Rukmini Vasanth, and Gulshan Devaiah.

Since its theatrical release on 2 October during Vijayadashami and Gandhi Jayanti, Kantara Chapter 1 has broken numerous records. It has become the second-highest-grossing Kannada film and one of 2025’s top Indian box-office successes.
