The CBI has booked Anil Ambani’s son Jai Anmol in Rs 228.06 crore fraud case based on a complaint from Union Bank of India. The case also names Reliance Home Finance and director Ravindra Sharad Sudhakar. The bank says the company did not follow loan rules and failed to repay the money it had borrowed.
Jai Anmol Booked by CBI
Reliance Home Finance had taken about Rs 450 crore in credit for business use. The bank required timely repayment and proper financial documents. The company did not meet these conditions, and the loan was declared a non-performing asset on September 30, 2019. A forensic audit found that the loan money was diverted for purposes not approved by the bank. The audit showed signs of misappropriation and misuse of funds. The CBI will now investigate the matter further.
