After the success of ‘Jaat’, Sunny Deol has officially announced its sequel, ‘Jaat 2’, on April 17. The actor took to Instagram to share the film’s poster, writing, “#Jaat on to a New Mission! #Jaat2.” The poster also confirmed that Gopichand Malineni will return as director, with production once again backed by Mythri Movie Makers and producers Naveen Yerneni, Ravi Shankar Y, and TG Vishwa Prasad.

‘Jaat’ marked Deol’s third-biggest career hit and has so far collected around Rs 57.50 crore nett in its first seven days. It is expected to close its extended week at approximately Rs 60 crore, a strong figure for a mid-budget release.

While the full cast for the sequel hasn’t been revealed, Deol will reprise his lead role. The original film featured Regina Cassandra, Saiyami Kher, and others in key roles. ‘Jaat 2’ is expected to face competition from ‘Kesari Chapter 2’, releasing April 18.
