Diljit Dosanjh has been facing severe backlash after he released the trailer of his film ‘Sardarji 3’. The movie stars Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in the lead role. The actress, along with other Pakistani artists, slammed the Indian government for Operation Sindoor after the Pahalgam attack, after which the Indian government banned their social media handles in India. Diljit announced that ‘Sardarji 3’ won’t release in India; however, several film bodies are now calling for a ban on the singer.
Diljit Dosanjh banned in India?
The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) President, BN Tiwari, was quoted by NDTV saying, “There will be complete non-cooperation. If the film releases anywhere, we will issue a directive of non co-operation. We will ensure that Diljit Dosanjh won’t get work (films or concerts) in any part of India.”

Apart from FWICE, the All Indian Cine Workers Association has also decided to ban Diljit Dosanjh from working in India. Taking to X they wrote, the body wrote, “We hereby announce a complete boycott of singer and producer Diljit Dosanjh from the Indian film industry.” Meanwhile, the trailer of ‘Sardarji 3’ has been blocked in India on YouTube.
