Rishabh Pant Injury: On Day 01 of the India vs England Test 4, India’s wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant suffered a toe injury. He was declared retired hurt and was immediately taken off the field for scans and medications. Now, there has been an update on his injury. The 27-year-old has been recommended to rest for six weeks due to a toe fracture. Despite this, Pant came out to bat on Day 02, but will not be doing his wicketkeeping duties.

Rishabh Pant Injury: BCCI Issues Statement

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced through social media that Pant will not be behind the wickets, but will be available to bat “as per team requirements”.

It was the 68th over of India’s innings when Rishabh Pant was batting on 37. He attempted a pre-planned reverse sweep against seamer Chris Woakes but missed, getting a hit on his right boot.
