In the second Test against India, England captain Ben Stokes won the toss and chose to bowl first. England kept the same team from the first match while India made three changes to their lineup. Captain Shubman Gill rested fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah to manage his workload. India dropped Sai Sudarshan and Shardul Thakur, replacing them with Nitish Reddy, Washington Sundar, and Akash Deep. Sudarshan’s exclusion, especially after debuting in the previous Test, came as a surprise to many.

Team India made three changes for the 2nd Test. Jaspreet Bumrah has been rested, along with Sai Sudarshan and Shardul Thakur were dropped. Nitish Reddy, Washington Sundar, and Akashdeep came into the side as replacements. Sundar brings spin and batting strength, while Akashdeep adds pace, and Reddy provides all-around skills. England kept the same team from the first match. After winning the toss, England chose to bowl first to take advantage of the conditions.
