India defeated England by 6 runs on the final day of the fifth Test at the Oval, resulting in a 2–2 draw in the Anderson–Tendulkar Trophy Series. England began the day requiring 35 runs with four wickets in hand. India’s pace attack, led by Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna, completed the job within the first session. This result ended the five-match Test series with two wins each, marking a balanced outcome for both teams after a competitive performance throughout the tour.

Mohammed Siraj dismissed Jamie Smith for 2 and J. Overton for 9 in quick succession. Prasidh Krishna then bowled Josh Tongue, leaving England with one wicket remaining and 17 runs to score. Chris Woakes, batting with a shoulder injury, joined Gus Atkinson. Atkinson managed the strike briefly, but Siraj bowled him without a full toss in the 86th over. Siraj finished with 5/104 and Prasidh Krishna with 4/126. Akash Deep took the remaining wickets, helping India secure the Test match.
