A Pakistani court has sentenced former prime minister Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, to 17 years in prison each in the Toshakhana 2 corruption case involving state gifts. The verdict was delivered inside Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, where proceedings were held for security reasons. The ruling adds to Khan’s legal troubles, as he remains imprisoned in other cases.

Ex-PM Imran Khan, Wife Found Guilty
The court found the former couple guilty of violating trust and corruption laws over gifts received during an official visit to Saudi Arabia in 2021. Investigators said luxury watches and jewellery were sold without proper declaration. Along with prison terms, the court imposed heavy fines. Both Khan and Bushra Bibi can appeal the decision before the High Court.
