Humane Sagar, one of Odisha’s most admired and soulful playback singers, passed away on November 17 at AIIMS Bhubaneswar at the age of 36. He had been admitted with bilateral pneumonia, acute-on-chronic liver failure, and multi-organ dysfunction. Despite intensive treatment by specialists, he did not recover. His sudden loss has left fans, colleagues, and leaders across the state heartbroken.
Humane Sagar Passes Away
Born in Titlagarh, Sagar rose to prominence with his emotional depth and powerful vocal style. He sang more than 100 Odia songs and became a household name across the state. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed deep grief, calling his death an irreparable loss to Odisha’s music and cinema.
