Triptii Dimri has officially stepped in as the female lead in ‘Spirit’, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and starring Prabhas. Both Vanga and Dimri shared the news on social media, confirming her casting. Deepika Padukone was earlier cast as the lead but exited the project after Vanga found her demands unreasonable. However, Triptii is charging almost half of what Deepika was charging.

Reports claim Deepika Padukone exited the film due to disagreements over her demands, including a fee of over Rs 20 crore. Triptii, meanwhile, is said to be charging around Rs 4 crore, according to Telugu 360. Triptii previously worked with Vanga on ‘Animal’, a film that brought her widespread recognition. Fans are eager to see her on screen with Prabhas in this new project.

On Saturday, Triptii posted the official announcement with a heartfelt caption, saying she was grateful for the opportunity. Vanga also welcomed her warmly. Deepika, who is balancing her personal life as a new mother, has now moved on to other projects, including a film with Allu Arjun and director Atlee. Vanga also took to his Twitter and seemingly slammed Deepika for leaking the script of his film.
