BBC World recently released a documentary on rapper Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder, despite his father’s plea. The documentary has now revealed some key things about the rapper’s murder. The prime accused of the murder, Ganagster Goldy Brar, was interviewed in the documentary, and he shared why his gang killed Moose Wala. Moose Wala was ambushed and shot dead near his village in Mansa. His black Mahindra Thar was riddled with bullets, over a hundred rounds fired in broad daylight.
Goldy Brar breaks silence
“In his arrogance, he made some mistakes that could not be forgiven,” Satinderjit Singh, aka Goldy Brar, told the BBC. “It was either him or us.” Brar, a Canada-based gangster and aide to Lawrence Bishnoi, is designated a terrorist under the UAPA. His network is accused of arms smuggling, terror recruitment, and political disruption. Brar claimed the fallout began over a kabaddi tournament and alleged Moose Wala supported their rivals.
He said, “Lawrence Bishnoi was in touch with Sidhu Moose Wala. I don’t know who introduced them, and I never asked. But they did speak. Sidhu used to send ‘good morning’ and ‘good night’ messages in an effort to flatter Lawrence. That’s a village our rivals come from. He was promoting our rivals. That’s when Lawrence and others were upset with him. They threatened Sidhu and said they wouldn’t spare him.”
He continued and said, “Sidhu mixed with politicians and people in power. He was using political power, money, and his resources to help our rivals. We wanted him to face punishment for what he’d done. He should have been booked. He should have been jailed. But nobody listened to our plea. So we took it upon ourselves. When decency falls on deaf ears, it’s the gunshot that gets heard.” However, Goldy Brar remains unapologetic: “I have no remorse whatsoever.”
