Hyderabad police have registered a case against 25 Tollywood actors including Rana Daggubati, Vijay Devarakonda and more for promoting illegal betting apps. Some of the social media influencers and actors have also been booked for creating promotional videos for such apps.

The complaints were made by several different plaintiffs. Among the 25 people booked in the same case by the Miyapur police, are filmmaker Prakash Raj, actors Manchu Lakshmi, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Ananya Nagalla. The list also includes popular content creators such as Siri Hanumanthu, Sreemukhi, Vishnu Priya, Harsha Sai, Bayya Sunny Yadav, Shyamala and others.
In the past few weeks, the Telangana police have taken strict measures against content creators for promoting betting, gambling, or fraudulent investment apps. The complaints were from people who used these apps and suffered losses.
