The 70th Filmfare Awards 2025 was a night full of big wins and proud moments. Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies led the show with 24 nominations and 13 awards — the most ever for one film. Filmfare Awards 2025

Laapataa Ladies won top awards such as Best Film, Best Director, and Best Screenplay. The story of Laapataa Ladies, about women and their freedom, won everyone’s hearts. Alia Bhatt’s win for Jigra made her the top recipient of the Best Actress honour in Filmfare history, surpassing Kajol and Nutan. The 70th Filmfare Awards stood out as a shining moment for Laapataa Ladies and Alia Bhatt.
