US President Donald Trump has told Apple CEO Tim Cook that he doesn’t want him to expand his manufacturing operations in India. Trump is not happy with Apple’s decision to step up assembly and production of Apple products in India.

“He is building all over India. I don’t want you building in India,” the 78-year-old reportedly said. He then went on to say that “We are not interested in you building in India. India can take care of themselves”. Trump’s remarks have now created uncertainty for Apple’s strategy to source the majority of US-bound iPhones from India by late 2024.
