Pakistan-Afghanistan War
Over the weekend, Pakistani forces and the Taliban clashed heavily along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. Pakistan reported 23 soldiers killed, while the Taliban said nine fighters died. The fighting followed Pakistani airstrikes in Kabul and eastern Afghanistan and retaliatory fire from Afghan troops. Both sides blame each other for starting the attack, raising fears of further escalation.
