The makers finalised Ranveer Singh for Don 3 and were planning to begin the project soon. However, the actor did not deliver major box-office successes. Cirkus (2022) failed to perform as expected, while Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023), although well-received, reportedly led the makers to rethink their decision, and the film went on hold.
Don 3 Shooting Delayed
The scenario changed after Dhurandhar turned out to be a hit, restoring the makers’ confidence in Ranveer. That said, the actor is reported to have taken offence at being doubted and has now stated that he can allocate dates for Don 3 only after Dhurandhar 2 releases, which is expected after May.
This development has left the Don 3 team unhappy, as they were keen to start the film much earlier. As of now, the project has been put on hold for the next four months.
