Actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh has finally addressed the storm surrounding his film Sardaar Ji 3. The film drew criticism for casting Pakistani actress Hania Aamir amid rising India-Pakistan tensions. Speaking during a packed concert in Malaysia, Diljit saluted the Indian flag and declared, “Woh mere desh da jhanda hai. Always respect.”

In his emotional address, he clarified that the film was shot in February, weeks before the Pahalgam terror attack in April. The India-Pakistan Asia Cup clash took place later in September. “The media tried to portray me as anti-national, but Punjabis and Sikhs could never go against the nation,” he said.
Diljit admitted he had remained silent despite mounting criticism. “I had many answers, but I chose silence. I didn’t want to carry that poison inside me,” he shared.
Earlier, Diljit revealed that the makers were facing huge investments; hence, the team opted for an overseas release on 27 June. Directed by Amar Hundal, the film also stars Neeru Bajwa, Gulshan Grover, and Sapna Pabbi.
