Before becoming one of Bollywood’s most celebrated actors, Nawazuddin Siddiqui was quietly shaping other careers. One of them was Ranveer Singh. In an interview with Pinkvilla, the ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ star revealed he trained Ranveer briefly before his debut in ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ (2010).

Known for his intense performances and dedication to the craft, Nawaz said he often conducted acting workshops back then and became a go-to coach for aspiring actors. He said, “For some time, yes, I had trained him. I had become a guy who would take workshops often. If someone wanted to become an actor and get launched, I was the go-to person.” However, he was quick to dismiss the idea of taking credit for Ranveer’s success.
