The Delhi Air Pollution Protest turned chaotic on Sunday when a group of demonstrators at C Hexagon allegedly refused to disperse and used pepper spray on police officers. The clash unfolded as authorities tried to clear the area for emergency vehicles stuck in traffic. Several personnel reported irritation from the spray, leading to hospital visits and immediate detentions.

Police said the protesters broke barricades, occupied the road, and resisted removal, triggering a brief scuffle. Officers claimed some demonstrators used chilli spray, injuring a few personnel. The group was detained and moved away to ease traffic. Protesters had gathered to demand stronger action, real-time air-data transparency, and a dedicated regulator as Delhi’s air quality dipped into the severe category.
