In a tragic incident in J&K‘s Udhampur district, three CRPF jawans lost their lives and 20 others were injured after their vehicle fell into a deep gorge on the Kandva–Basantgarh road on Thursday morning. The accident occurred around 10:30 a.m. when the personnel of the 187th Battalion were returning from an operation. Union Minister Jitendra Singh said he had spoken to DC Saloni Rai and confirmed that rescue operations began immediately, with locals offering help on the ground.

Rescue Operation Underway
According to reports, the vehicle was carrying 23 CRPF personnel when it overturned near the Kadva area in J&K. The injured personnel were immediately taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Police, CRPF, and residents jointly carried out the rescue. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha conveyed profound sorrow over the tragic loss of lives. Singh confirmed that all necessary measures are being taken to support the injured and their families.
