During the band’s signature ‘kiss cam‘ segment, cameras focused on Byron and Kristin Cabot, his Chief People Officer. Frontman Chris Martin playfully quipped, “Oh, look at these two,” setting off a wave of laughter, then confusion.
Coldplay Outs An Affair
Byron, who is married to Megan Kerrigan, quickly retracted his arm and ducked behind a barrier, while Cabot shielded her face with her hands. Martin added with a grin, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re very shy,” just as Gillette Stadium erupted in laughter. According to his LinkedIn, Byron is a Lead Astronomer at a software development company. Cabot is listed as the company’s Chief People Officer and is credited with building employee trust at all levels. Neither has commented on the viral moment yet, but social media buzz is not slowing down.
