A case has been filed against Actor Vijay and his bouncers for allegedly ‘manhandling’ a man at a political event in Madurai. Complainant Sarath Kumar claimed that he was attacked while trying to get close to the actor during the event ahead of the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

A video from August 21 shows the fan being thrown off a ramp while Vijay walked amid cheering supporters. Several others attempting to greet the politician were also pushed away by his security team.
Following the incident, a complaint was lodged at the Perambalur police station and a case was registered under sections 189(2), 296(B) and 115(I) of the Indian Penal Code.
