The Brad Pitt–Angelina Jolie saga just got another fiery twist. The Hollywood actor has filed a $35 million (Rs 294 crore) lawsuit against his ex-wife over their long-standing battle for the French estate, Château Miraval. According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, an email exchange from November 2023 confirms Pitt’s multi-million-dollar claim, filed on October 29. The dispute centres on alleged damages and undisclosed communications related to Jolie’s sale of her share in the winery.
Brad Pitt’s Costly Feud
Jolie’s legal team hit back, calling Pitt’s actions self-inflicted and stating that “he must now bear the expense of proving those damages.” They also accused him of hiding behind a four-year NDA concerning his personal misconduct.
A public hearing is set for December 17, marking yet another chapter in the ex-couple’s turbulent post-divorce legal feud that began after their 2016 split and 2019 divorce. The dispute traces back to their famed 2011 purchase of the Château, worth $60 million (Rs 504 crore).
