Bollywood Filmmakers Fight Over Title ‘Operation Sindoor’

The ongoing Indian Pakistan conflict has made people worry about their future. In the midst of these serious conflicts and retaliations, a Bollywood filmmaker thought of making a film on it. While the thought of someone making a Bollywood film on Operation Sindoor did cross our minds, we weren’t the only ones. Many filmmakers had their representatives rush to film organisations to register the title Operation Sindoor.

Filmmakers Register For Operation Sindoor title

The first ones to register for the title were Mahaveer Jain’s production house. Zee Studios and T-Series are also some of the names in line for the title on the government portal. Even Madhur Bhandarkar has registered the title for a potential movie. 

Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) had also applied for a trademark for ‘Operation Sindoor’. According to Jio Studios’ statement, the trademark application was filed by a junior person without authorisation. Reliance insists that they have no intention of trademarking the title. After facing a lot of backlash on this shameful act, and have now withdrawn their application from the portal.
