BCCI has filed an official complaint with the International Cricket Council (ICC) against Pakistan cricketers Haris Rauf and Sahibzada Farhan for provocative gestures during the Asia Cup Super 4 match in Dubai on 14 September 2025. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) sent the complaint on 24 September, which the ICC has acknowledged. The matter may be heard by ICC Elite Panel Referee Richie Richardson, with possible sanctions if the players fail to justify their actions.

In response, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) reportedly filed a complaint against Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav over post-match comments praising the Indian Armed Forces and expressing solidarity with the victims of the Pahalgam attack. Both Rauf and Farhan are expected to explain their gestures, including mocking military actions and a gun-like celebration, at the ICC hearing. Failure to satisfy the panel could lead to penalties under the ICC Code of Conduct.
