Varun Dhawan’s ‘Baby John’ hit theatres on Christmas Day, but its opening has been underwhelming for a holiday release. On its first day, the film earned Rs 12.5 crore at the box office. It recorded a 24.97% occupancy in Hindi across theatres. In the Delhi-NCR region, the film was screened in 1,046 shows, with a 25.75% occupancy, while the Mumbai region, with 801 shows, saw a slightly higher occupancy of 26.25%. Despite the festive release, the film’s performance has been relatively lukewarm in its opening weekend.
