Some even blamed me, saying, “She was smiling, enjoying it.” Would I enjoy being touched in public without consent? On stage, Pawan Singh pointed at my waist, saying something was stuck. I smiled, thinking it could be a tag on my saree. Later, I realised nothing was there and felt hurt, angry, and even cried.
I wanted to confront him backstage, but he left the event. I do not support touching anyone without permission. This behaviour is wrong. After thinking carefully, I have decided I will not work in the Bhojpuri industry anymore and will focus on my family and work in Haryana.’
