Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has stepped up to support the safety of stunt performers following the tragic death of SM Raju on set. He has helped provide insurance coverage for around 650 stuntmen and stuntwomen, including both health and accident insurance. Akshay, known for performing his own action scenes, understands the risks involved in such work. His support ensures that many stunt artists can now receive medical care if they are injured.

Action director Vikram Singh Dahiya shared the news, stating that Akshay contributed to financing the insurance, which offers up to Rs 5 to 5.5 lakh in cashless medical treatment. This is the first time such a comprehensive step has been taken for stunt teams in Bollywood. Akshay has been widely praised in the film industry for caring about those who risk their lives to create thrilling action scenes.
