Aishwarya Rai Approaches Delhi HC to Protect Image and Personality Rights

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has approached the Delhi High Court to protect her publicity and personality rights. The petition raises concerns over the unauthorised use of her photos, name, and identity on websites and commercial products. The plea also highlights fake listings, merchandise, and digitally altered images. Justice Tejas Karia noted the seriousness of the case and suggested possible legal measures. The case is set to be heard next on 15 January 2026.

Aishwarya Rai Seeks Legal Protection

Senior Advocate Sandeep Sethi stated that her identity was being misused for profit, including through fake websites and merchandise. He also flagged the circulation of AI-generated and manipulated images online. Justice Karia advised that URLs of the offending content could be submitted for removal under the Blocking and Screening Instructions framework to prevent further misuse.
