An Afghan teen sparked shock and concern on Sunday after he managed to reach New Delhi by hiding inside the landing gear compartment of a Kabul-bound aircraft. PTI reported that the 13-year-old, a resident of Kunduz, sneaked into the restricted area of Kabul airport and boarded KAM Airlines flight RQ-4401 unnoticed.
Afghan Teen Deported from Delhi
After the two-hour flight, he was discovered at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. During questioning, the boy admitted that his risky act was driven solely by “curiosity,” with no understanding of the dangers involved. He was handed over to CISF officials and later repatriated to Afghanistan on the same flight. A red speaker found with him raised initial suspicions, but following a thorough security check and anti-sabotage inspection, the aircraft was declared safe.
