The storm around Salman Khan refuses to settle, and this time it is filmmaker Abhinav Kashyap firing fresh shots. In a candid interview, the Dabangg director claimed he signed Salman only because the star desperately needed an image makeover after films like Wanted and Tere Naam left him with a “chhichhora, roadside Romeo” tag.
Abhinav Kashyap’s Claim
Kashyap recalled how Arbaaz Khan initially wanted to act in Dabangg, but eventually Salman was brought in despite his “towel dance” reputation. Not stopping there, Abhinav launched into harsher criticism, calling Salman a “criminal out on bail”, a “goon”, and accusing his family of being “vindictive” and manipulative in Bollywood.
He argued that the superstar is more interested in the power of celebrity than in acting itself, often doing films as a favour. With claims of controlling the industry and punishing dissenters, Kashyap’s explosive remarks have reignited one of Bollywood’s most controversial feuds.
