Aamir Khan Takes Fees Only If His Film Makes Profit

Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan recently opened up about his unique approach to take fees. Khan revealed that he doesn’t charge for his work unless the film turns a profit. Speaking at a public event, the actor shared that this practice is rooted in an old tradition where performers would entertain first and only accept money if the audience was pleased.

Aamir Khan’s fee structure

“I never take money in advance. If the film does well, I take my share. If not, I don’t take anything,” Aamir said. He cited Laal Singh Chaddha as an example, a film that earned Rs 133 crore globally against a budget of Rs 180 crore. “I didn’t take any money for it,” he admitted, calling the film a failure and accepting full responsibility. While acknowledging that other actors charge by the day, Aamir believes he shouldn’t let his producers bear the loss for his creative choices.
