What Is the cheating case against veteran actor Dharmendra? Here’s what we know

Dharmendra

On Tuesday, the Patiala House Court in Delhi summoned veteran actor Dharmendra and two others in connection with a cheating case involving the Garam Dharam Dhaba franchise. The complainant, Sushil Kumar, alleged that in April 2018, the co-accused approached him on behalf of Dharmendra to invest in a franchise in Uttar Pradesh. Enticed by promises of 7% profit on a Rs 41 lakh investment and inspired by the success of other branches, Sushil signed a letter of intent in September 2018 for Rs 63 lakh. Despite paying Rs 17.70 lakh and purchasing land in Amroha, UP, the project did not materialize. Sushil later reported financial loss and threats, seeking repayment instead of the franchise.
