Actor Dhanush’s legal team has objected to actress Nayanthara’s unauthorised use of a 3-second clip in her upcoming film. Dhanush’s legal representative pointed out that the other party’s filing was confusing, particularly about ownership of the BTS footage. According to the lawyer, Dhanush owns the footage as the producer, not as the person who shot it. The legal experts advised Nayanthara and her team to remove the alleged illegal content from the documentary. Failure to comply within 24 hours would force Dhanush to launch a case against Nayanthara and Netflix India, seeking Rs 10 crore in damages each.
The notice
Dhanush has given them 24 hours to remove the contents of NRD movie from the documentary. If not, then #Nayanthara, @VigneshShivN and @NetflixIndia will have to face legal actions, and will also be subjected to a 10cr damage pay.
