AAP MP Sanjay Singh vehemently responded to a recent remark by BJP leader Sangeet Som, who had termed Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan a ‘traitor’. The controversy erupted after one of Khan’s teams, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), announced the signing of Bangladeshi cricketer Mustafizur Rahman. Singh questioned how Khan could be labelled a traitor simply for hiring an international player for his squad.

He also questioned the stance of the BJP and the Prime Minister, asking, “If Shah Rukh Khan is a traitor because he has retained a Bangladeshi player, what is PM Modi doing by supporting Sheikh Hasina?” Singh further raised concerns about industrialist Gautam Adani, asking, “What about Adani, who supplies electricity to Bangladesh?”
Through these remarks, Singh highlighted what he described as hypocrisy in the political targeting of Shah Rukh Khan, raising doubts about India’s diplomatic and economic relationship with Bangladesh.
