In Faridabad, police claimed that a 25-year-old woman was raped in a moving van after she accepted a lift late one night. It was reported that she was trapped in the vehicle for almost three hours, during which it travelled through isolated areas in deep fog, leaving no opportunity to seek assistance. The survivor’s family lodged a complaint at the Kotwali police station. Following this, a case was registered, and two suspected criminals were apprehended by the Faridabad crime branch on December 30, 2025.
According to the police, the woman had quarrelled with her mother and informed her family at around 8.30 pm on Monday that she was going to meet a friend and would return within two to three hours. However, she did not return until near midnight. Unable to find transport, she accepted a lift in a van occupied by two men.
Found Injured on Gurgaon–Faridabad Road
The accused allegedly drove her towards the Gurgaon–Faridabad Road instead of her intended destination and raped her near a temple. At around 3 am, she was forced out of the vehicle near Raja Chowk and later admitted to a hospital. The case remains under investigation.
