In a surprising turn of events, Jaideep Ahlawat has replaced Akshaye Khanna in the upcoming film Drishyam 3. Producer Kumar Mangat Pathak confirmed that Akshaye exited the project just days before shooting, citing creative differences over a wig. He has also sent a legal notice, accusing the actor of unprofessional behaviour. Jaideep, who previously worked with Pathak in Aakrosh, is now officially part of the film.
Producer Speaks on Akshaye’s Exit
Kumar Mangat Pathak said Akshaye initially agreed not to wear a wig for continuity but later changed his mind, prompting his exit. He also mentioned that Akshaye’s recent success with Dhurandhar may have gone to his head. Pathak added that Jaideep Ahlawat is not only a talented actor but also a more professional choice for the film.
