Shilpa Shetty–Raj Kundra Deny Fraud Charges, Say Rs 60 Crore Case Is ‘Civil Dispute’

Amid the ongoing Rs 60 crore fraud and cheating case, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra have firmly denied all allegations. They have described the claims as baseless and motivated. The couple has clarified that the matter is already before the Bombay High Court. A quashing petition has been filed and is currently under judicial consideration.

The Case

The case has been filed by businessman Deepak Kothari, who is the director of Lotus Capital Financial Services. The Economic Offences Wing is investigating allegations that funds were taken on the pretext of business expansion. It is alleged that the money was used for personal purposes. Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra have denied these claims and stated that the dispute is civil in nature.
