Global football icon Lionel Messi concluded his much-anticipated G.O.A.T. India Tour with a special visit to Vantara in Jamnagar. Vantara is a wildlife rescue, rehabilitation, and conservation centre founded by Anant Ambani. On December 16, 2025, he took part in traditional rituals at the facility. He performed a ceremonial aarti and received a warm traditional welcome, featuring folk music and floral greetings. He was accompanied by his Inter Miami teammates, Luis Suárez and Rodrigo De Paul, during the visit.

He toured Vantara’s extensive conservation ecosystem, which houses rescued big cats, elephants, reptiles, herbivores, and other fostered animals. He interacted closely with caregivers and veterinary teams and observed advanced animal welfare practices in action. These included specialised medical care, nutrition planning, and rehabilitation protocols.

Praising the initiative, he said the work done for animals was truly beautiful. He added that the care, rescue efforts, and dedication were genuinely impressive. He described the visit as a memorable experience and expressed hope of returning again to support the cause.

The Jamnagar visit came shortly after the official conclusion of the G.O.A.T. India Tour 2025 in Delhi. The tour covered four cities, including Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Delhi. Messi’s final public appearance in the capital drew massive crowds of fans. The visit to Vantara extended his India journey beyond football and highlighted the importance of wildlife conservation and compassion.
