Dense fog and poor visibility led to a major chain collision on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway in Greater Noida on December 13, 2025, leaving several people injured and causing significant traffic disruption. The accident took place in the Chakrasainpur area under the jurisdiction of Dadri police station, resulting in a traffic jam stretching nearly 5 kilometres.
Emergency teams, including police, toll staff, and cranes, were rushed to the spot to clear damaged vehicles and manage traffic. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals, while traffic remained affected for several hours during rescue and clearance operations. Police also confirmed that the incident impacted areas under the Badalpur police station limits.

The Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissionerate stated that police teams are present at the site and investigations are ongoing. Officials added that details about the exact number of vehicles involved and the injured are still being verified. The accident occurred as dense smog covered the Delhi-NCR region, with air quality remaining extremely poor. Noida Sector-125 recorded an Air Quality Index of 449 at noon, according to the Central Pollution Control Board.
