Football superstar Lionel Messi is set to arrive in India for a high-profile 3-day GOAT Tour from December 13 to 15. The Argentine maestro, fresh off winning the 48th trophy of his legendary career, will travel across four major cities—Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and New Delhi. During his visit, Messi will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several top celebrities, and chief ministers, making this one of the most anticipated sporting events in India. He will travel from Miami with a brief stopover in Dubai to manage jet lag before landing in India.

GOAT Tour Schedule

December 13 – Kolkata

1:30 am: Arrival in Kolkata

9:30–10:30 am: Meet-and-greet programme

10:30–11:15 am: Virtual inauguration of Messi’s statue

11:15–11:25 am: Arrival at Yuva Bharati

11:30 am: Shah Rukh Khan arrives at Yuva Bharati

12:00 pm: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Sourav Ganguly arrive at the stadium

12:00–12:30 pm: Friendly match, felicitation ceremony, and interaction

2:00 pm: Departure for Hyderabad

December 13 – Hyderabad

7:00 pm: 7v7 football match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium featuring Messi and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy

A special musical concert will also take place in his honour.

December 14 – Mumbai

3:30 pm: Participation in the Padel Cup at the Cricket Club of India

4:00 pm: Celebrity football match

5:00 pm: Event at Wankhede Stadium followed by a charity fashion show

He will also auction select memorabilia from Argentina’s 2022 FIFA World Cup triumph.

December 15 – New Delhi

Meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi

1:30 pm: Event at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, including the felicitation of players from the Minerva Academy

Ticket Prices

The tour is promoted by Satadru Dutta, who has also confirmed participation from Luis Suárez, Messi’s former Barcelona teammate, and FIFA World Cup winner Rodrigo De Paul. Tickets for the GOAT Tour are available on the District app, starting at Rs 4,500 in most cities, except Mumbai, where prices start at Rs 8,250.
