Kuldeep Yadav created history. He broke Shane Warne’s 23-year-old world record with a brilliant 4 for 68 spell against South Africa in the first ODI at the JCA Stadium in Ranchi. This performance marked the 10th four-wicket haul of his ODI career, making him the joint most successful Indian spinner alongside Anil Kumble.
Kuldeep Yadav Broke the Record
Kuldeep Yadav broke the record after dismissing Tony de Zorzi for 39 and later breaking a dangerous 97-run partnership by removing Marco Jansen and Matthew Breetzke within just three balls. This was also his fourth four-wicket haul against South Africa, allowing him to surpass Shane Warne and Yuzvendra Chahal. He also equalled Lasith Malinga and moved just behind Brett Lee and Waqar Younis. This achievement firmly establishes him as one of India’s most impactful ODI bowlers.
