The bidding opened on Friday evening on the fancy.parivahan.gov.in portal with a base price of Rs 50,000. A total of 45 people joined the contest. By Wednesday noon, the bid had already reached Rs 88 lakh, and it finally closed at a stunning amount at 5 pm. Last week, the plate HR22W2222 was sold for Rs 37.91 lakh.

Here’s why this number plate stands out:
