Apple Records Its Weakest Indian Growth in 6 Years

Apple

Apple has recorded its weakest sales growth in India in six years, even as the number of Indian Apple users continues to rise. In FY25, Apple’s India revenue grew by just 18% to Rs 79,378 crore. Could this slowdown indicate that its growth in India is finally moderating? This is significantly lower than the 30–70% growth levels seen between 2020 and 2024.

Analysts suggest that the company may now be entering a phase of modest expansion, having already built a large user base. Interestingly, nearly two-thirds of its revenue comes from older, more affordable models, which has reduced overall sales realisation.

Sales Performance

Despite the slower growth, India’s net profit rose 16% to Rs 3,196 crore. India has become Apple’s fourth-largest market, with shipments hitting a record 12 million units, marking a 35% year-on-year jump.

The company holds a 10.4% market share and continues to expand with new stores, while manufacturing operations remain recorded under its global parent.
