The Delhi government has officially renamed three metro stations, bringing a major update for daily commuters. Pitampura Metro Station is now Madhuban Chowk, Haiderpur Badli Mor has been renamed Haiderpur Village, and the under-construction Prashant Vihar station will now be called North Pitampura/Prashant Vihar.

Announced by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta during the arrival of the Rezangla Shaheed Raj Kalash Yatra in Haiderpur, the decision aims to strengthen local identity and make station locations easier to recognise.

Once Delhi Metro updates its maps, mobile apps, station boards, announcements, and route planners, the new names will appear. Although some initial confusion is expected, officials believe passengers will adjust quickly to the updated station identities.
